ZEN-NOH parent-child cooking classes

ZEN-NOH organizes parent-child cooking classes aimed at increasing interest in food and ingredients among children and their parents through cooking together, thereby helping them to understand how crucial agriculture is in Japan.

In these classes, parents and children take on the challenge of making a boxed lunch using fresh farm products from Japan, including rice, eggs, vegetables, meat, and dairy products produced by ZEN-NOH Group companies. The program includes not only cooking, but also lessons on Japanese agriculture and ingredients, and dietary education quizzes, providing participants with an understanding of the importance of food.

JA ZEN-NOH parent-child agricultural experience tours

The purpose of the JA ZEN-NOH parent-child agricultural experience tours is to provide consumers who have little contact with farming in their daily lives with the chance to meet producers and gain a deeper understanding of agriculture.

These tours offer children and their parents the opportunity to get closer to the soil through a one-day, hands-on experience of the work carried out by rice and vegetable farmers. Participants try their hand at such tasks as planting and harvesting rice and other crops, and also enjoy a lunch made with locally grown rice and seasonal vegetables.
